This course addresses global trends and current issues related to the development of sustainable tourism. It explores the emerging green paradigm as well as the policies and politics that make sustainable practices possible and locates tourism development within the broader context of sustainable development and the triple bottom line (i.e. economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts).

This course covers the diagnosis, analysis and resolution of complex hotel business situations, emphasizing practical problem solving skills and strategic management. Includes case analysis and computer simulations. Satisfies the integrative experience requirement for BS-HTMGT studies.

This course introduces foundational abstract data types and algorithms. The main focus is on the use of data structures in designing and developing programs to solve problems in a variety of domains. Specific topics include lists, sets, maps, graphs, stacks, queues, searching, and sorting. (Gen Ed R2)

Art in the United States from 1860 to 1940 with a concentration on painting and sculpture. As new technologies and ideologies transformed the political, economic, and social fabric of the United States after the Civil War, changes in the arts were equally rapid and as dramatic, culminating in the introduction of abstraction after 1900.
