This course provides the base of knowledge required to understand the role of diet and exercise in optimizing athletic performance AND overall health.

Physical Activity/Health & Dis

This course will provide students with fundamental knowledge underlying the health benefits of exercise and physical activity. The course will cover relevant topics in epidemiology, physiology, anatomy and exercise physiology that will help students understand how exercise, physical activity and sedentary behavior impact human health. We will apply this multi-disciplinary knowledge in the science of exercise, physical activity and sedentary behavior to various diseases and conditions to show how they actually affect human health in adults.
