Advanced Latin Grammar
Synchronic investigation of the grammatical system of classical Latin. Special emphasis on the presentation of phonology, morphology and syntax in the Latin classroom.
History or Biography
Selections from the Roman prose authors Livy, Sallust, Caesar, Tacitus, and/or Suetonius, with analysis of the structure, style, and cultural context of their works. Prerequisite: 300-level course in Latin or equivalent with a grade of C or higher.
S-Latin Pedagogy/Undergrads
This course provides basic preparation for a career as a Latin teacher at the middle or secondary level, and is designed for Classics majors of any track who are currently taking Latin at the 300-level or higher.
