S- Elemental Thinking

This course is a transdisciplinary exploration of the environmental humanities in literature, music, art, and public activism. Co-taught by faculty in English and Music, the seminar orients our critical engagements around the classical elements of water, earth, air, and fire. The goal is to provide both an expansive set of models and opportunities for students to engage in the kinds of inter- and transdisciplinary scholarship, criticism, artistic-creation, and activism that will shape the future of the environmental humanities.
