This course will provide students with basic knowledge of how to identify fish, as well as provide hands-on opportunities to learn common sampling techniques for fish in local freshwater environments. We will also be covering some basic methods used to examine fish populations and communities. Because of the limited enrollment in this course, we hope that each student will be motivated to try various sampling techniques and learn to handle fish.

The dynamics and management of forested, open woodland, and savanna habitats in North America and elsewhere. Topics include wildlife ecology, habitat classification, resource utilization, impacts on humans, and management techniques.

Week-long course is conducted in Key Largo, Florida to provide experience in warm-water ocean diving. Topics include boat-diving techniques, underwater navigation, marine environment, night diving, and deep diving.

Course is held over two weekends in Gloucester, MA, to provide experience in cold-water ocean diving. Topics include shore diving, boat diving, night diving, deep diving, and wreck diving.
