Malay III

Malay III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Malay. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Malay develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Malaysia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

Literature & Culture

Relevant forms of Black cultural expressions contributing to the shape and character of contemporary Black culture; the application of these in traditional Black writers. Includes: West African cultural patterns and the Black past; the transition-slavery, the culture of survival; the cultural patterns through literature; and Black perceptions versus white perceptions.
