ST- Georgian VI

Georgian VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Georgian I-V or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Georgian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Georgia and to support course work in Eurasian Studies.

ST- Greek VII

Greek VII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Greek I-VI or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

ST- Bangla/Bengali III

Bangla/Bengali III is the third part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Bangla. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Bangla/Bengali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Bangladesh and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

IS-Modernizng/BayesianInferEng

Students will participate in a team designing and coding enhancements to the Bayesian Inference Engine, particularly constructing robust Python interfaces to the existing C++. Responsibilities include: researching approaches; dividing work fairly and according to skills; coding; testing; and documenting enhancements. Evaluation will be based on quality of participation and work product, and on a brief written report summarizing the experience and individual learnings. This course counts as a CS Elective toward the CS major (BA/BS).

READINGS IN MODERN HEBREW LANG

The course will focus on practical skills necessary to decipher, comprehend and translate Hebrew literature, music, film, television, and print media. The course will be organized around topics suited to student interests and language level as ascertained by the instructor. Prerequisite: JUD 100y or equivalent, or permission of the instructor. Can be repeated once with a different topic.
