Proposal Writing
A one-credit class that guides students through the proposal writing process required for entry into the BDIC major. Students will investigate career and graduate school options, finalize their course selections for the BDIC major and choose a faculty sponsor within the scope of the class. Admission to the class by application only.
FYS - Careers in Education
The Education Exploratory Track is for students interested in education as a career path in a variety of settings (e.g., formal, informal or international). Students who are thinking of pursuing a career in teaching at the Early Childhood, English as a Second Language, Elementary, Special Education or Secondary Education levels (i.e., Mathematics, Science, English and History), or an advanced school professional career such as Reading Specialist, School Counseling and School Psychology will benefit as well from the Exploratory Track in Education.

The main goal of the STEM mentoring program is to increase middle school students? STEM content knowledge and career interest through authentic scientific inquiry in a mentored after-school program. As a STEM Mentor you will build relationships with at-risk youth that support student self-efficacy as well as building key life and career skills.
