Pre-practicum in School Counseling is designed to support the student in her/his first school placement, and to facilitate professional growth as a school counselor.

In this course, students learn to safely identify close to two dozen familiar wild and local plants, and prepare them into food, medicines, and useful fiber crafts.

Strain measurement and analysis in the field and in the laboratory. Deformation mechanisms of minerals and rocks. Interpretation of macroscopic and microscopic fabric elements. Timing of deformation, recovery, alteration, and metamorphism. Prerequisites: Geo-Sci 431 and calculus.

An introductory exploration of political systems in several nation states in various parts of the world. Coverage differs depending on the specialties and interests of instructor. Students learn about generalized comparative approaches and political development, political processes and political institutions in each state covered. (Gen.Ed. SB, G)
