Survey of modern Catalan culture including its language, literature, art, music, and traditions. Students should have some knowledge of the Catalan or Spanish language. The class will be mainly conducted in Spanish and Catalan, and the readings will be mainly in English. The assignments can be written in English, Spanish or Catalan.
