Sculpture 1-Intro to Sculpture

An introduction to a range of basic sculptural processes and materials with an emphasis on formal investigation and intellectual query. Projects cover basic sculptural principles and hand skills with an emphasis on working from observation. This course will introduce basic additive and reductive processes including wood, metal and clay/plaster. Prerequisite: Foundation w/3d component.

Computer Animation II

The second of a two semester sequence. Animation techniques using digital tools as applied to film, video, music and tehcnology. Animation software (Maya) and professional compositing programs are used. Development and design of personal work is stressed. Emphasis is on creativitiy and professionalism. Studio course.

Adv Drawing Prob

Advanced investigation of contemporary drawing problems. Emphasis on foundations of graphic communication. Solutions to problems in relation to the individual students' personal insights and objectives. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-Art majors. Prerequisite: ART 201.

Pntg-Adv Mat & Tech

Study of formal and informal painting procedures. Focus on development of form as content. Information provided regarding painting processes and associated materials. Related contemporary and historical theoretical issues also included. Prerequisites: Art 521, 522, or consent of instructor.
