May be taken prior to Art 510. Visual arts as they relate to the development of the individual. Presentations, workshops, current literature in the field. Topics include: grading and evaluation, discipline, special needs students, art therapy, ordering of supplies, budgets, and lesson planning. Prerequisite: Art Education major or consent of instructor.
Advanced Drawing
Investigation and development of various techniques and media. Emphasis on figure drawing.

Sculpture 6-Advanced Sculpture
Senior level sculpture studio: Advance work within peer group. Emphasis placed on further development of an independen vocabulary and aesthetic. Required course for all sculpture discipline BFA majors.
Sculpture 5-Studio Practice
Seminar/Studio format. Students meet as a group with rotating faculty member. Projects and focus determined by faculty expertise and student interest. Emphasis placed on developing a personal studio practice and artistic voice. Group critiques balanced with individual research and work in any sculpture facility. Technical competency in sculpture fundamentals required.
BFA Degree Project
Individually defined student project developed with guidance of a committee made up of at least two full-time faculty members. Students will produce a coherent body of work consistent with their personal vision. The project concludes with a one-person exhibit of work, a written thesis, an oral defense, and a photo documentation of the project, all subject to approval by the faculty committee. This course satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BFA-Art majors. All BFA degrees require enrollment in Art 401 and Art 402.
BFA Deg Proj/IE Seminar
Seminar to focus on individually defined student project developed under Art 402, where students produce a coherent body of work consistent with their personal vision.
