This intercultural communication seminar is designed to help students who are enrolled in the International Scholars Program prepare for their study abroad experience. It explores the role that culture plays as a medium of communication. It encourages students to see themselves as members of one or more cultural group and to anticipate what it will be like living, working and communicating in a new cultural environment. (GenEd. Advanced Honors Seminar is the second and final course in the two-part Honors Seminar Series, formerly the Dean?s Book Course. If you have completed HONORS 291D, 291G, or 291R with a B or better, upon successful completion, this course will satisfy the Honors Seminar Series requirement of Commonwealth College. HONORS 391D carries a Gen Ed I. In 391D, students participate in a topical seminar-style course designed by its instructor.
