S-I Greek I

Greek I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Greek. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.

Swahili VI

Swahili VI is the second part of a two-part intermediate course sequence in Swahili (Kiswahili). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies. Prerequisite: Swahili V or the equivalent.

Swahili V

SI-Vietnamese IV

Vietnamese IV is the fourth part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Vietnamese. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Vietnamese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Vietnam and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST-Persian II

Persian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Persian. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). It is also useful for students who want to learn Dari (Persian as spoken in Afghanistan) or Tajik (Persian as spoken in Tajikistan). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials.
