S-I Swahili I

Swahili I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Swahili (Kiswahili). The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies.

S-I Hindi I

Hindi I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Hindi. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Hindi develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Indonesian I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Indonesian. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. Students studying Indonesian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Indonesia and to support course work in Asian Studies.
