Instruction and personal supervision in administration, scoring, and interpretation of most used psychological tests such as the WISC-R, WAIS-R, WPPSI-R, and Stanford Binet. Prerequisite: Educ 705.
This practicum provides individualized instruction and supervision in individual counseling. Admission to a Counseling Master's program and certification of readiness for the practicum by the student's advisor is required before enrollment. All students counsel clients at an off-campus agency or school.
The proposed course is an in-depth survey of major psychological and socio-cultural theories of human learning as they have been developed over the last 125 years. It is designed to provide master degree and first year doctoral students with a broad understanding of the various learning theories currently held by professional educators and educational researchers, as well as an understanding of the historical roots of these theories.
