Multidisciplinary professional writing course. Research, analyze, reference and write in the formal and informal text conventions used by Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Conservation, & Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

An overview course designed to provide First-Year students with information, opportunities, and skills to ease their transition into college and build a successful foundation necessary to reach their educational goals.

An authentic research experience for incoming first-year students, who will work on a project directly related to a faculty member's research. Participants will be fully integrated into the faculty research group and participate in regular group meetings and one-on-one meetings with senior mentors. Students will study relevant prior published work, write a background and proposal paper and a final report in the form of a journal article, that will be published on-line.
