Twi V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Twi offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study, small group conversation sessions led by a peer conversation partner, and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Twi develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ghana and engagement with Twi-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Turkish V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Turkish offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and engagement with Turkish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and engagement with Swahili-speaking communities, and to support course work in African Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Romanian V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Romanian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. Norwegian V is an intermediate course in Norwegian offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study and an evaluation by an outside evaluator, as well as collaborative contribution of course readings and discussion questions. Students studying Norwegian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Norway and engagement with Norwegian-speaking communities, and to support course work in Scandinavian and European Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.

Modern Irish V is an intermediate course in Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) offered through the Five College Center for World Languages. The course format includes intensive independent study and an evaluation by an outside evaluator, as well as collaborative contribution of course readings and discussion questions. Students studying Irish develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and engagement with Irish-speaking communities, and to support course work in Celtic Studies and other academic, vocational, and personal goals.
