Students will develop fundamental skills in epidemiologic data analysis and interpretation. A major emphasis will be to gain practical experience in analyzing epidemiologic data using statistical software.
This course provides an overview of fundamental research methods and analytical tools utilized in conducting genetic epidemiology studies. It will also cover the ethical, legal, and logistical challenges faced when conducting this sort of research.
This course introduces students to areas of active research in the field of reproductive health with a focus on their public health significance, descriptive epidemiology, etiology and prevention. Using a combination of lectures and small group discussions of published peer reviewed research, this class addresses both methodologic and substantive challenges to reproductive and perinatal epidemiological research.
