Intermediate Modern Hebrew II

This course, which builds upon Hebrew 230, continues to emphasize skills necessary for proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and conversational Hebrew. It presents new grammatical concepts and vocabulary through texts about Israeli culture and tradition, as well as popular culture and day-to-day life in modern Israel. In addition to the textbook, course material will include reading selections from a variety of sources, as well as videos and songs. We will also be reading an abridged, simplified Hebrew novel, starting a transition from a simpler/simplified Hebrew to a more literate one.
