How humans produce, hear, and compute the sounds of their languages. An introduction to the sounds of the world's languages, their acoustics and their interactions. Commonalities and differences between languages and their sound systems. The development of spoken language from birth to adulthood. Can be taken instead of LING 402 or instead of LING 414 but not both.

This course will use the current KIN 110 course content framework enhanced with additional problem solving, critical thinking, and student-centered learning activities and assignments. For example, for the topic on diet, exercise and weight control, students in the honors section will be asked to estimate their own personal energy balance by determining individual energy intake and expenditure and discuss the implications in terms of personal weight management.

This weekly seminar course aims to provide an understanding of the strategic role that effective career planning and management plays in a successful career and life. Students in this course will identify their own interests, skills and values to create a personal career development path. Through this process, students will acquire the skills necessary to write a resume, CV, and cover letter. In addition, students will practice their interviewing skills and gain other professional skills to succeed in the workplace post-graduation.

Examines issues associated with the globalization of business. Topics include international business and multinational strategy, major influences in developing accounting standards, comparative accounting practices, harmonization of international accounting standards, consolidated financial statements involving foreign subsidiaries, financial statement analysis involving foreign companies, and management, auditing, and tax issues in a global environment. Prerequisite: Accountg 322 or equivalent.
