ST- Teaching Workshop

The course is designed as a mentoring workshop to help students prepare for teaching art at the college level. The first part of the course introduces the nuts and bolts of teaching studio art: designing courses, writing syllabi, identifying learning objectives, devising projects, conducting critiques, and grading, as well as various University regulations and policies. The second part introduces the philosophy and pedagogical frameworks such as artist-teacher narratives, various learning theories, adolescent and adult development for the best practices of studio teaching.
