FYS- Identity in Motion

In this course, students will identify and explore various academic and professional pathways to pursue their goals in education. The course will introduce various job opportunities in the K-12 schools, higher education settings, community education and more, while making connections to students' own identities as future educators. Students will also learn about the resources available in the College of Education and on-campus to help with their academic, professional and personal aspirations and wellbeings.

T-Abstr Algebra-Coding Theory

An overview of noiseless and noisy coding. Covers both theory and applications of coding theory. Topics include linear codes, Hamming codes, Reed-Muller codes, cyclic redundancy checks, entropy, and other topics as time permits. Prerequisites: MTH 153 and MTH 211. One of MTH 233 or MTH 238 is highly recommended.
