ST- Adv Manufacturing/Polymers

Covers fundamental topics in advanced manufacturing processes. Includes polymer extrusion, thermoforming, polymer-on-polymer stamping, injection molding, 3D printing, micro and nanomanufacturing. Emphasizes on fundamental principles of polymer manufacturing processes, selection of materials relative to product design and manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability. Explores recent advances in polymer manufacturing from macro to nano scale.

ST- International Screenplays

This course proposes a survey of celebrated literary and filmic texts produced in a variety of countries (the US, the Soviet Union, France, Sweden, Italy, Poland and South Korea) interrogating the methodologies of filmic adaptation and the national specificities and technical limitations of screenplays/screenwriting. The course will also show samples of actual screenplays in foreign languages, explaining the cultural differences in format, emphasis and presentation of the "medium" that in the shooting script.

ST-Machine Learning/Engineers

This class is an introductory course in machine learning designed for senior level undergraduates and graduate students. The class will briefly cover topics in regression, classification, mixture models, trees, neural networks, deep learning, and ensemble methods. The course will give the student the basic ideas and intuition behind modern machine learning methods as well as a bit more formal understanding of how, why, and when they work.

ST-AdvPublicTransport&Mobility

Technologies are changing the ways that mobility is provided in cities and regions. This graduate course will address theory and empirical evidence related to public transit and multimodal mobility in cities. Topics will include modeling and design of transit networks, modeling and operation of on-demand services (including microtransit, ridesourcing, and vehicle sharing), and city-scale models of traffic in networks with cars and transit.

ST- Water Resources Planning

This course introduces students to the importance of structured, disciplined planning techniques for the creation of water resources plans and for managing water in today?s quickly changing environment. The course discusses the history of water planning and management in the US and the challenges encountered when providing reliable water resources for growing populations as our climate changes over time.
