The student is introduced to five common domestic large animal species. Emphasis is placed on anatomy, restraint, physical examination, nursing care, diagnostic techniques, reproduction, and common diseases.

In this course, students will examine African and African American theater produced in the 20th and 21st century and written or translated into English. We will observe the differences and similarities between work across geographic and temporal locations and conduct dramaturgical research to support concept statements that could facilitate professional productions of these works.

Classical actor techniques in Shakespearean performance. Students learn the lost art of verse speaking. Performance is placed against the vibrant backdrop of Elizabethan London and its exciting theatre scene.

Trends in theatrical practice from the end of the 19th century to the present; emphasis on surrealism, expressionism, absurdism, and performance art. Prerequisite: THEATER 120.

Introduction to acting. Includes all or some of the following: improvisation, theater games, monologues, scenes. Required of majors.

Explores numerous levels and terms of the encounter between Native Americans and Blacks, including native tribal identity, Black identity, famous people of mixed ancestry, contested identities, Native Americans in jazz and pop music. Native and Black cultural traditions in intermarriage, Native Americans as slaves, slavery and freedmen, "free colored" communities, decoding historical documents, tribal legacy assertions, "triracials," and the impact of mixed ancestry on both Black and native communities.

For non-science majors; not for Biology major credit. Designed to provide non-science majors with the basic scientific knowledge that an informed citizen requires to develop thoughtful positions on sometimes controversial questions related to medical ethics, environmental degradation, cloning, biotechnology, STDs, and education.(Gen.Ed.
