Studying and traveling in Italy will provide you with a rare opportunity for a first-hand study of a unique economic power that is known for combining business with a deep sense of aesthetics, quality, and culture. The course is designed to be a highly interactive study of Italian culture and business, with the expectation that it will help us all appreciate the dynamics of business in Italy from a globalization, expansion challenge, Made-In-Italy brand, ownership structures, and people management perspective.

AI&Professional Communications

This course introduces School of Management students to best practices for using generative AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) in both educational and industry settings, with a focus on business communication and workflow streamlining. Drawing from rhetorical theory, ethical frameworks, and popular discussions about generative AI, the course prepares students to understand and effectively use these ubiquitous tools in the workplace, while also recognizing when and when not to use them. The course will run in both a lecture and workshop model.
