This course is designed to prepare students for success in the following career and professional development competencies such as networking, internship/job search, professional etiquette and industry research. Specific activities will include but are not limited to: resume building, interviewing skills, dressing for success, utilizing social media platforms, developing elevator pitches, building professional connections, increasing knowledge of industry and career areas and navigating career fairs.

Supply Chain Mgt

Basic concepts of supply chain management such as synchronized information, product and financial flow, channel design and configuration, supplier relationships, internal and external logistics, and inventory deployment and replenishment. Supply chain modeling for the optimization and monitoring of a supply chain, or a segment thereof, using network (mathematical programming) models.

Vikings&Their Stories:Saga Lit

Readings (in translation) of selected Old Icelandic sagas, whose content and energized style emerged during the first European expansion toward the west. These early "westerns" are excitingly told and will be discussed as regards the stories themselves and in their historical and cultural framework. Conducted in English (Gen. Ed. AL)
