IS- MPH project

This course allows MPH students to tackle an Environmental Health problem using the skills and educational resources they have developed during their first year of coursework, during their practicum experience, and in their other professional experiences (employment, internships, volunteer work, etc.). Students will select a problem they can study or research in depth over a period of 10-12 weeks.

Env. & Occupa. Toxicology II

This course is developed to meet this upcoming demand for a new generation of toxicologists. In this class students will learn about new methods and approaches and will perform a project based on next generation sequencing starting from tissues of exposed and control animals through bioinformatic analysis of molecular pathways that were affected by exposure and generation of toxicity assessment data.

Intro to Educational Statistcs

This course provides an introduction to statistical reasoning with a focus on educational contexts. You will learn how to reason from uncertain empirical data (as is often the case when dealing with school/classroom data) and how to apply this general and fundamental intellectual method in the social sciences. You will also learn how to use a variety of tools (SPSS, Excel, and TI-83 Plus) to perform data analysis on personal computers and to interpret and write results sections based on the analyses. (Gen.
