Advanced knowledge and procedures for evaluating treatment outcomes using single-subject research designs. Topics include assessment, experimental design, and data evaluation.

Students enrolled in this course should have taken EDUC 532 -- Behavior Analysis in Applied Settings OR EDUC 661 -- Educational Research Methods. This will provide the foundational knowledge necessary to learn single case experimental design as an advanced research methodology.

Sheltered English Immersion

This course introduces and assesses the 11 Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Standards fulfilling the SEI Endorsement requirement for teacher licensure in Massachusetts. Course content prepares PK-12 preservice teachers with the theoretical, cultural, political, linguistic, and instructional tools for effectively promoting the language development of English language learners.

Embracing Diversity

This course is about cultural diversity in the University community and how we can better understand ourselves and others through an appreciation of college education as a cultural experience, with its own unique set of rules, biases, and expectations. (Gen. Ed. I, DU)

S-Retrieval & Review

Introductory course focusing on retrieving and reviewing educational research. Retrieval component introduces sources useful in accessing educational research (e.g., ERIC, journals, handbooks). Reading component introduces quantitative, qualitative, and critical theory modes of inquiry emphasizing how to understand and explain research.
