FYS-Social Class Is In Session

Should college be free? How should institutions spend money? Who benefits when an individual earns a degree? In this course, we will ask critical questions to examine how social class impacts the ways that postsecondary institutions operate, serve students, and interact with larger cultural values.

Entrepreneur Mindset

When we hear "Entrepreneurship" our thoughts gravitate toward high growth unicorns, the next big thing, and an easy breezy lifestyle made up of travel, freedom, and setting our own hours. We think of great visionaries like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg. In reality, you have to be a leader, a manager, and a collaborator - and the entrepreneur's journey is a roller coaster ride of some highs, many lows, pitfalls, setbacks, guesswork, problem-solving and so much more. It is not for the faint of heart.
