ST- Dutch V
Dutch V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.
ST- Tibetan V
Modern Tibetan V is the first part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Modern Tibetan. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Modern Tibetan develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Tibet or Tibetan-speaking areas and to support course work in Asian Studies or Buddhist Studies.
ST- Greek VIII
Greek VIII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Greek I-VII or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Greek develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Greece and to support course work in European Studies.
ST- Nepali VI
Nepali VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Nepali I-V or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Bangla/Bengali VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Bangla/Bengali I-V or the equivalent. Students studying Bangla/Bengali develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Bangladesh and to support course work in South Asian Studies.

Modern Irish VIII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Modern Irish I-VII or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Students studying Modern Irish (also known as Irish Gaelic) develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Ireland and to support course work in Celtic Studies.
ST- Haitian Creole VI
Haitian Creole VI is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Haitian Creole I-V or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. Health - physical, emotional, and social - is a crucial pillar of human well-being. Recognizing health as a fundamental human right means investigating the reasons why some have adequate health care while others do not, and why some populations disproportionately suffer from disease and ill health. This seminar will examine the underlying social and political determinants of illness, especially as connected to war and conflict. What do we mean by the "underdevelopment of health" and how do we understand global health issues and disparities in their historical contexts?
Experimental Design & Methods
his is a combination lab and lecture based course that will introduce early stage students to design of experiments, design and implementation of research projects in Chemical Engineering (both industrial and academic), statistical analysis of data, lab safety, and pitching research ideas and completed projects to communities of professionals.
