ST- Career Success Strategies

To assist students in developing and implementing a professional career/job search through greater understanding of resources available to them. To conduct a job search that will provide the most satisfying rewards to the students. The students will understand how critical every aspect of the job search is and how it relates to landing a satisfying career. Finally the students will understand how marketable they are to employers and how best to display that marketability.

Introduction to Simulation

Using computers for system design and decision making under uncertainty. Monte Carlo methods, modeling discrete-event stochastic systems, random number generation, time-advance mechanisms, output analysis, simulation-based optimization. This course counts as a CS Elective toward the CS major (BA or BS).

STEM-Ambassadors Program- Spr

This is a continuation of the Fall course. Students work in small groups with a research faculty advisor and graduate student mentor. They engage in a variety of activities related to STEM research, education and outreach. Students experience the STEM research culture at the university, engage in group and independent research projects, engage in mentoring middles school students, and interact with a diversity of STEM professionals.
