ST-Moroccan II

This course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Moroccan Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions with a native speaker and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. The focus is on practical everyday conversation and listening comprehension. Students studying Moroccan Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Morocco and to support course work in Middle Eastern and International Studies. In order to enroll in this course, students must have completed Moroccan I or the equivalent.

ST-Khmer II

Khmer II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Khmer (Cambodian). The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Khmer develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Cambodia and to support course work in Asian Studies.

ST-ST-Cantonese/MandarinSpkrs2

Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Spoken Cantonese for Mandarin Speakers. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. ST-Dutch I

Dutch I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Dutch. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Dutch develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Netherlands and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Persian VIII

Persian VIII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Persian I-VII or the equivalent. The course teaches Iranian Persian (Farsi). It is also useful for students who want to learn Dari (Persian as spoken in Afghanistan) or Tajik (Persian as spoken in Tajikistan). The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Persian develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad and to support course work in Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies.

ST-Khmer I

Czech V is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Czeck I-IV or the equivalent. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Czech develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Czech Republic and to support course work in European Studies.

ST-Urdu V

This is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Urdu I-IV or the equivalent. The course format combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and one-on-one peer-tutoring. Students studying Urdu develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Pakistan or India and to support course work in South Asian Studies.
