The course fulfills the General Education U.S. Diversity (U) requirement and focuses on the theme of cultural borders. Students produce essays incorporating course readings as well as their own personal experience and knowledge. All classes are held workshop-style in computer classrooms to allow for writing, collaboration, and consultation among students and between students and teacher. (Gen.Ed. U)
