In this hands-on class students will learn about permaculture basics while maintaining our on-campus permaculture demonstration gardens.

Introduction to the principles and practices of union organizing. Topics include theories of organizing, internal and external organizing, and a case analysis of current organizing campaigns.

Capstone course requiring application of knowledge and techniques derived from previous courses. Course presents strategic management theories and frameworks, uses integrative cases, and leverages empirical observations to guide students in the formulation of successful firm-level strategies.

An introduction to fundamental "design thinking" and graphic communication skills in architecture. First of a 2-part series. Course can be taken alone or as part of series.

This course will introduce students to the practice and the appreciation of graphic expression. We will focus on studio work, class discussion, and critique, while exploring the role of drawing in contemporary art. Assignments will address drawing from objects, the human figure, various spaces, and imagination. Students will learn to work with traditional and unconventional resources, large scale, small scale, and no materials at all. The course is designed for students with little previous experience in drawing, but flexible enough to challenge Division II studio-art concentrators.
