Problems in Low-Mass Stars
This course uses an investigative approach to learning about and applying modern methods in observational stellar astrophysics research, with a focus on open research questions relating to low-mass stars and how they vary in time. Students adopt a specific research project to investigate in depth throughout the semester, within a highly-collaborative and team-based environment. Related professional development activities are also incorporated, such as technical writing, the peer review process, giving presentations, understanding astronomical literature, and more.
