Field Methods

Provides hands-on experience in linguistic analysis. Students elicit language data from the speaker of an unfamiliar language, both in class and individually. Under the guidance of the instructor, students analyze various aspects of the phonology and syntax of the language.

CALCULUS II

Applications of the integral, dynamical systems, infinite series and approximation of functions. Situations in science and social sciences in which calculus naturally arises are emphasized. Students may not receive credit for both 114 and 112 Prerequisite: MTH 111 or the equivalent.

ST in Cross Cultural Hlth Care

Understanding the multi-cultural dimensions of human care and caring is essential for the practice of health care. Clinical experiences with health care professionals of other cultures, will assist students to gain new insights in cross-cultural human care and health and increase their ability to provide more culturally competent care upon their return.
