ST- Swahili VIII

Swahili VIII is an intermediate-level course in Swahili (Kiswahili) for students who have completed Swahili I-VII or the equivalent. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Swahili develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in East Africa (especially Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda) and to support course work in African studies.

ST-Intro Seismology

Advanced undergraduate and graduate course presents a basic study in seismology and the utilization of seismic waves for the study of Earth's interior. It introduces techniques necessary for understanding of elastic wave propagation in layered media. Students are expected to have taken Intro Geoscience classes and have good background in basic physics and mathematics.
