P-Intro to Teaching ANSCI

Students gain experience in teaching in introductory level (100-200) courses. Students will be expected to demonstrate specific competencies related to labs and assisting students; lead review sessions; gain experience in all aspects of teaching an Animal Science class.

Fundmentl Vet & Biomedical Lab

Introductory course prepares students for further lab related work. Topics include lab measurements, solution preparation, instrumentation, practical laboratory exercises. Clinical topics include human and animal hematology, clinical chemistry, diagnostic biology, parasitology and molecular diagnostics with lab exercises that are applicable to veterinary or biomedical clinical laboratories.

Fundamentals of Reproduction

The course will provide a basic introduction into the principles and mechanisms of normal and abnormal aspects of reproduction and current approaches to reproductive care and management. The aim is to empower the student with entry level, current knowledge for the reproductive aspects of any modern animal husbandry including functional anatomy, reproductive life cycles, terminology, discussion of breeding management, common causes of infertility, and assisted reproductive technologies. The laboratory component will demonstrate applied aspects of animal reproduction.
