Ecosystems across the globe under threat. Defining good conservation policies is difficult because many aspects of ecosystems and our impacts on them are poorly understood. However, new data resources are emerging that can help us understand and manage ecosystems more effecitively, if we can develop the algorithms to understand and use this data well.

An introduction to digital culture, visual images, audio content, archives, and new media. Critical approaches include a focus on formal analysis, historical perspective, reception and audience, and cultural theory.

A practical approach to developing information literacy for college-level research and lifelong learning. Efficient and effective methods for managing "information overload" and for finding, using, evaluating, organizing, and presenting information.
