Topics include: ethics, contracts, compensation, specifications, contract management, marketing, budgets, and cost analysis.

Social Impact of Mass Media

This course explores research on the influence of mass media on audiences. The course examines the effects of television (and some other media) on thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors. Topics include politics and the media, the influence of news, public service campaigns and advertising, and media influence on health. Students will take three in-class exams and will do in-class writing in each class session.

Thry Analy Processes

Aspects of the theory underlying modern analytical chemistry. Topics treated in depth vary with instructor, but can include relevant aspects of quantitative analysis; essential signal processing for analytical techniques; chromatography and other separation procedures; optical spectroscopy and spectrometry; flow injection analysis; use of statistics for the analysis and treatment of data.

Introduction Political Economy

Introduction to economic analysis for majors and nonmajors. Facts and concepts basic to understanding the U.S. economy today. Topics may include:
