Jr Year Writing Prog

Course projects which give practice in different types of art historical writing (catalogue entry, book or exhibition review, interpretative essay, technical report) combined with in-class exercises in the writing of analytical and explanatory prose. Topic focuses from semester to semester on a period, culture and/or individual artist. Required of all art history majors in their junior year. (Planned for Fall)

BusinessIntelligence&Analytics

This course provides an introduction to Business Intelligence, including the
processes, methodologies, infrastructure, and current practices used to
transform business data into useful information and support business
decision-making. Business Intelligence requires foundation knowledge in
data storage and retrieval, thus this course will review logical data models
for both database management systems and data warehouses. Students will
learn to extract and manipulate data from these systems and assess

Intro to Operations Management

An introduction to operations management in manufacturing and service industries. Emphasis on learning the basic principles, using MS EXCEL, required to organize and manage service and manufacturing organizations. Topics may include improved facility layout, project management, supply-chain management, Just-in-Time systems, inventory management, scheduling, and work force management. Discussions of real world applications frequently used to demonstrate concepts.
