Independent Study

Individualized study with a faculty member. For Sophomores and Juniors a 500 word abstract summarizing the project to be presented at the end of the Spring semester on Science Day. Seniors present a poster on Science Day.

ST-A.I. Certificatn

This course is conducted during spring break of each year to introduce students and area cattle farmers to the concepts and procedures involved in the artificial insemination of dairy and beef cattle. The course is held in PA and participants earn a certificate of completion. The instructor is a professional from the AI industry.

Intro Animal Mgmt

With lab. In-depth presentation of animal agriculture and its economic implications. Concepts of nutrition, reproduction, husbandry, and marketing presented for beef and dairy cattle, sheep, swine, poultry, and horses, as well as nontraditional species. Prerequisite: ANIMLSCI 101.
