AdvClinical Nutrition Practice

This course provides an in-depth application of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in complex and specialized clinical conditions across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on advanced clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary care in the management of critically and chronically ill, and nutritionally at-risk populations. Students will refine skills in the Nutrition Care Process (NCP), nutrition-focused physical examination (NFPE), interpretation of clinical and biochemical data, and development of comprehensive nutrition care plans.
