Topics covered include: behavioral approaches to conservation; behavior change; barriers to and facilitators of conservation behavior; effective intervention design; persuasive and strategic environmental communication. Students will develop their own environmental behavior change campaigns and integrate course content with their broader undergraduate education experience. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BS-NRC and BS-EnvSci majors.

FieldLogistcs&ExpeditionarySci

The broad disciplines of natural resources conservation, ecology, and environmental science often require field work, whether it is in a forest around the corner or on a coastline on the other side of the globe. Early in their careers, students learn about experimental design, sampling protocols, and data analyses, however little formal training is provided about field logistics. Field logistics includes topics such as permitting, trip planning, equipment transport, risk management, and emergency preparedness, with related skills usually learned `on-the-fly?
