Pubhlth Surveillence/VectorDis

Infectious diseases are major contributors to public health burdens throughout the world. Vector- borne diseases (those carried by mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and others) are an important part of this complex landscape. The surveillance and control of vector-borne diseases (including dengue, malaria, Lyme disease and others) require special approaches and techniques, and this course serves as a introduction to this field of public health entomology. This course will help build a skilled workforce with foundational knowledge to address emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
