Epidemic of Loneliness colloq
This 1-credit colloquium is open to students who have completed or are enrolled in PH 475: The Epidemic of Loneliness: On Social Connection, Belonging and Public Health. Loneliness and social isolation are common experiences for college students. According to the American College Health Association, a survey of 48,000 college students revealed that 64% of respondents felt "very lonely." Students enrolled in this colloquia will discuss strategies to address loneliness in college students and will use the concepts from class and develop a podcast series of topics for college students.
Clinical Internship
Year-long, full-time clinical experience. Intensive practical experience necessary for professional work. A requirement for the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology; must be done at an internship facility accredited by the American Psychological Association or one approved by the Clinical faculty. Student eligibility must be certified by the Director of Training before acceptance of an internship. Prerequisites: successful completion of all required course work for the Ph.D.
