ST- Organizational Psychology

Through a scientist-practitioner perspective an overview and exploration of how psychology and behavioral science is applied in the workplace and organizations both historically and in current practices. Topics include the application of psychology and behavioral science to: the organization's talent/employee life cycle and related key metrics - such as effectiveness, satisfaction, engagement, and culture; the organizational change process; individual and organizational wellbeing and resilience; and individual work and careers. Pre-req: Introduction to Psychology.

ST- Autism Spectrum Disorder

This course will provide students with a broad overview of autism spectrum disorder across the lifespan. Students will be introduced to the history of autism as a diagnostic category and its reconceptualization within the neurodiversity movement. This course will review current understandings of the biological and environmental causes of autism as well as current methods of screening and assessment. This course will critically evaluate approaches to treatment and support within family, school and community settings.

S-Junior Year Writing

This is a writing-intensive course that fulfills the University's Junior Writing requirement. Each section focuses on a particular aspect of current issues in psychology. The topic is selected based on the expertise of the teaching staff. All sections share similar writing assignments, ranging from in-class short writing assignments to lengthy papers that include literature review. Classes emphasize discussion and extensive peer review of written work. Topics for individual sections will not be available until shortly before the start of the semester.
