ST- Albanian II

Albanian II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Albanian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Albanian develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in the Albania and to support course work in Eastern European Studies.

ST-Indonesian VI

Indonesian VI is the second part of a four-part course sequence in Indonesian. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The course format combines independent study with small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Indonesian develop speaking, listening, and basic literacy skills needed for study abroad in Indonesia and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.

ST-Topics in Advanced Turkish

Topics in Advanced Turkish focuses on developing advanced reading and speaking skills, expanding vocabulary, and improving the ability to describe/narrate in detail and support opinions. Topics are chosen in consultation with the program director. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies.

ST-Turkish VIII

Turkish VIII is an intermediate-level course for students who have completed Turkish I-VII or the equivalent. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies.

ST-Turkish VII

Turkish VII is the third part of a four-part intermediate course sequence in Turkish. The course is offered through the Five College Mentored Language Program. The course format includes small group conversation sessions and individual tutorials. Students studying Turkish develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural etiquette skills needed for study abroad in Turkey and to support course work in Middle Eastern Studies.

ST-Egyptian Arabic I

Egyptian Arabic I is the first part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Egyptian Arabic. The course develops speaking and listening skills in colloquial Egyptian Arabic. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and a final evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Egyptian Arabic develop skills needed for study abroad in Egypt and to support course work in Middle Eastern, African and International Studies.

ST- Igbo II

Igbo II is the second part of a four-part elementary course sequence in Igbo. The course is offered through the Five College Supervised Independent Language Program. The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Igbo develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Nigeria and to support coursework in African Studies. Prerequisite: Igbo I or equivalent.
