So, too, will we read the diary and letters of Etty Hillesum, whose slightly older and equally crucial Holocaust voice was silenced in Auschwitz. Both women's lives and work will be examined against the backdrop of the Nazi invasion of Holland and the Dutch response, both rescue efforts and collaboration.
